Juventus chief Pavel Nedved admits it was always going to be difficult to replace Cristiano Ronaldo's goals.
The 36-year-old completed a sensational return move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window and has already struck 13 times in all competitions this season.
Ronaldo settled the scores from the penalty spot against rock-bottom Norwich on Saturday afternoon.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner spent three years in Turin before touching back down at Old Trafford. During that time, the Portugal captain scored 101 goals in 134 games.
Since his high-profile departure, some Juventus figures have taken aim at Ronaldo in suggesting the Italian giants are more team-orientated as a result, but Nedved has now laid down a goal-scoring challenge to his successors in attacking quarters.
Federico Chiesa (3), Moise Kean (3) and Paulo Dybala (8) have netted 14 times between them for the Old Lady this term — only one more than Ronaldo has managed to tot-up on his own this season.
Speaking to DAZN via Italian publication Calciomercato, footballer turned Juventus director Nedved said: "In terms of implementation, we are behind.

"But we must add Chiesa, [Federico] Bernardeschi and all the attacking players, who maybe as you rightly say they score between 10 and 15 goals. If they do, it means that you are in good shape.
"We lost a 30-goal player, but if our players improve the side-lines we will have a better chance of getting closer to the top spots."
