The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently endorsed expanded eligibility to COVID-19 booster shots for anyone 18 and older. People who received Pfizer or Moderna immunizations are eligible for a booster six months after their second shot. People who received the Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine are eligible for a booster two months after their first shot. The CDC has also authorized people to mix-and-match doses.
Where to get a vaccine on campus
In partnership with the Monongalia County Health Department (MCHD), West Virginia University is hosting Pfizer and Moderna vaccination clinics on campus each Tuesday throughout the coming weeks, including Pfizer vaccination clinics for children ages 5 to 11 years old.

In addition to the weekly vaccination clinics, WVU Medicine Student Health has the Pfizer vaccine available for WVU students at its clinic in the Health and Education Building. Walk-in appointments are offered during regular business hours (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
